Ele Powell, BSc (Hons) MHFST Sports Therapist
Ele also graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with her BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy Degree. As a talented hockey player and coach herself Ele naturally specialised in the treatment of athletes engaging in team sports gaining valuable experience treating the East England hockey team. Able to devise rehabilitation programmes working on areas of vulnerability unique to each patient, Ele also helps patients concentrate on fitness and prevention of re-injury, “re-educating the patient on specific practices helps them take ownership of their programme, aiding a safe and speedy recovery”.
Ele’s main areas of expertise include: musculoskeletal and postural problems, and joint mobilisation.
Ele has qualified as a Bowen therapist through the European College of Bowen Studies. Using Bowen Ele is able to treat a whole host of ailments; the treatment is non-evasive and suitable for everyone. This new exciting treatment modality has opened up the range of issues treatable at the Sports Injuries Clinic.
Amber Hadert, BSc (Hons) MHFST Sports Therapist
Amber graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2004 with her BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy Degree. Since graduating, Amber has worked towards setting up the sports injury clinic in St Albans and gained extensive clinical experience specialising in the treatment of elite bodybuilders and martial arts experts.
With an excellent grounding in many therapeutic modalities Amber is a soft tissue specialist with far reaching clinical experience in many sporting areas of recreational to elite athletes. Amber’s special areas of interest are based on muscle imbalances based on the individuals sporting techniques.
Alun Finningan, BSc (Hons) MCSP SRP HPC reg
Alun is a Chartered Physiotherapist who has been qualified for six years and is currently undertaking his masters Degree and Sports Physiotherapy. He is a specialist in sports injury management and prevention.
Currently he is the 1st team physiotherapist at Old Loughtonians Hockey Club and Billericay Rugby football club. Alun provides physiotherapy services for premier league and national hockey players and also the David Beckham Football Academy.
Andreas Georgiou, BSc (Hons) MSST Sports Therapist.
Andreas Georgiou graduated from London Metropolitan University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy. Previously, he has undertaken work at the British Indoor Rowing Championships, the London Marathon as well as working with elite athletes at London Irish RFC and Reading Hockey club.
Andreas is very keen on bodybuilding and has been a member of a gym for over 10 years. Training with professional bodybuilders has given him valuable experience, which enables him to devise unique and effective rehabilitation programs.
Special areas of expertise include sports injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, muscle imbalances and joint problems.
